T-Pain Forsakes Auto-Tune, Working On "T-Pain Effect" With Auto-Tune Rival
T-Pain announced yesterday that he is done using his infamous Auto-Tune on his tracks.
“I’m done with Auto-Tune,” he said in a statement. “I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again.”
However,T-Pain isn’t about to actually sing without a crutch. He is partnering with Izotope, who is the rival of Antares, maker of Auto-Tune. The new effect will simply be called “the T-Pain Effect”. T-Pain believes his technology is”bigger and better” than Auto-Tune.
His I Am T-Pain iPhone app, which makes users sound like T-Pain, has been downloaded 2.5 million times to date.
