New Season Of Arrested Development Confirmed! (Plus Movie Update)
A lot of Arrested Development fans have been eagerly awaiting the long-delayed movie. The hilarious show ended in 2006, and the show’s creator, Mitch Hurwitz, has been talking about a movie for a long time. Today, at the New Yorker Festival, he gave details on a new mini series of Arrested Development episodes, which would lead into a film. New York Times reporter Dave Itzkoff was there and tweeted about it, stating, “Mitch Hurwitz says he plans limited Arrested Development series (9-10 eps, 1 character per ep) that would lead into movie.”
Since then, Will Arnett tweeted the following:
“I’m peeing with @batemanjason at the moment..and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie.”
UPDATE: Jason Bateman just tweeted the following:
“It’s true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ’13. VERY excited!”
