Rockstar has released a near-five minute gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V. The trailer showcases the three new protagonists players will control, who can be switched between at will to create a unique gameplay system. The trailer showcases a few instances using this mechanic, such as where the player controls a character rappelling down a skyscraper and grabbing a hostage, before switching to another character in an adjacent building who takes out enemies with a sniper rifle.
“A sprawling, satirical re-imagining of modern Southern California,” says the female narrator. “Covering mountains and oceans, expensive stores and strip malls, urban decay and untouched wilderness, beaches and backwoods, the sublime and the ridiculous, greed and hypocrisy.”
“The world is not only huge, it’s packed with a vast array of things to see and do,” the narrator said. “Cars to customize, planes to fly, clothes to buy, sports to play, nirvanas to pursue, oceans to dive, animals to spot, hunt, and be hunted by, freaks to watch, meet, and befriend, bounties to hunt, and on and on.”
Overall, Rockstar has done a fantastic job expanding the gameplay and upgrading the graphics from 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV. Grand Theft Auto V will be available on September 17th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game can be preordered here.
No love for PC? =(
Not at the moment. Probably will happen eventually but GTA 4 for PC was plagued with bugs and was just not ported well. I know Red Dead never made it to PC.
