Metal Gear Solid V E3 Trailer
We learn more about Big Boss’ dark past in an awesome new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which was shown at E3.
Konami has released an epic new trailer for their upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which was shown at this year’s E3 Expo. Konami has revealed that the game will be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The extended trailer showcases the awesome graphical horsepower that the FOX Engine is capable of, with great visual detail in everything from Punished Snake’s scars to the vast open world and dynamically changing weather. Metal Gear Solid V will also feature “realistic passage of time and a variety of ways to navigate the vast new environments within the game.” Familiar faces like Snake, Emmerich, Ocelot and Kaz (Master Miller) show up in the trailer, along with some new ones – such as a kid named Eli who some are already speculating is a young Liquid Snake, a sniper girl named Quiet, and a child who could be either Chico from Peace Walker or perhaps Solid Snake. The game’s storyline looks to be decidedly dark, as the trailer shows everything from human bombs to child soldiers being paid with blood diamonds.
“To celebrate the success and popularity of the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise, we are working hard to bring our fans the next installment on next-generation consoles,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We are excited to give players the traditional, high-quality and immersive experience of a METAL GEAR title, while also delighting them with new, innovative aspects to the game.”
