Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Coming July 9thMay 17, 2013 0 By Jason Bakker
The most comprehensive collection of Hideo Kojima’s franchise, Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection, will arrive in July for under $50.
Konami has revealed the release date for its upcoming Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection. This awesome, comprehensive bundle will be released in the US on July 9th, and includes Metal Gear Solid 1- 4 and Peace Walker, as well as two digital graphic novels by Ashley Wood and MGS: VR Missions. Beyond that, it will also include a 100 page art book with marketing artwork from the series’ 25 year history. This looks like a great package for fans of the series who missed out on 2011’s Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
The addition of the original game, a 100 page book, two digital graphic novels and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions might just be enough to entice even ardent fans who picked up the previous collection. It should be noted that this package is a PlayStation 3 exclusive due to the extremely large size of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Konami thought about making this collection available for Microsoft fans, but MGS4 would require over seven DVD disks for an Xbox 360 version, and game director Hideo Kojima refuses to ship the Legacy Collection without it, understandably. As you can see from the beauty shot of the Legacy Collection, MGS4 takes up an entire Blu Ray disk by itself, while every other Metal Gear game to date fits on the other. Crazy! Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will retail for $49.99.
