Capcom And Valve Announce Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2
Unique crossover project Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 will be coming this spring.
In an interested bit of cross-promotion, Capcom and Valve have gotten together to create a fun project in anticipation of Resident Evil 6’s upcoming PC launch – Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2. Exclusively on PC, characters from Left 4 Dead 2 will be featured in Resident Evil 6, while enemies from Resident Evil will make their way into the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. Both of these crossovers will be free to owners of the games.
In Resident Evil 6 PC, gamers will be able to play as Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle in the PC-exclusive mode The Mercenaries: No Mercy. Each character will have a custom load-out created specifically for Resident Evil 6. Two of Left 4 Dead’s iconic Special Infected, the Witch and the Mini-Tank, will seek to give players hell in this mode as well. This exclusive content will be automatically downloaded in the background and installed after April 5th.
Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman will be among the featured Resident Evil 6 enemies making their way to the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. Valve’s developers worked hard to bring these characters to life using Valve’s Steam Workshop tools.
Commenting onResident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2, Chet Faliszek from Valve stated: “We’re huge Resident Evil fans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combine L4D2 and RE6, we jumped at it.”
Resident Evil 6 Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi added: “The Resident Evil 6 team really enjoyed working on this crossover, and we’re confident that our fans will have a great time with it too! We hope you enjoy this unique content.”
