Firing Up “BattleStar Galactica Online” For The First Time
Battlestar Galactica Online looks incredible. Awesome visuals, character creation with a surprising amount of depth, lots of things to do and things to strive for. Those aren’t the most amazing things about the game, however.
You play Battlestar Galactica Online in your browser. Look at that!
This is another player in the free-to-play/micropayment market.
Pictured up there is my Cylon raider, a starter ship. I was in the middle of training missions available at the beginning of the game.
I can already feel the pangs of addiction biting into my veins. There’s a few more scenic shots from my brief stint into this universe:
This is a Cylon mining ship. There are lots of ships that you can buy as you progress in the game. This one was just part of the training exercise.
I decided to play as Cylon this time around. I had the option to play as the Colonials, but there was some kind of XP bonus that goes along with playing as Cylon. Munchkin up, you know? 😉
Here’s one of me clumsily trying to kill a drone. To date, I’ve fought AI vipers and drones and such. I’ve yet to encounter PvP. I read here that there’s about a million people playing this game scattered across several servers. You’re bound to find someone to play with..or someone to kill. If you’re into that sort of thing.
I think I’m going to end up playing this one for a little while longer. Check out the game trailer below. Definitely worth the watch.
