007 Legends Game To Debut Alongside Skyfall
Rather than making a playable interpretation of James Bond’s latest film Skyfall, MGM and developer Eurocom have decided to celebrate 007’s 50th anniversary by creating 007 Legends, which will pay homage to some of Bond’s greatest cinema outings. More specifically, you’ll play as Bond through six different movies, leading up to and concluding with Skyfall.
It’s unclear what the other 5 films will be- the only one mentioned is Skyfall- nor whether their respective actor’s likeness will be used or if Daniel Craig will be reliving those movies. Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan each had turns as Bond, and I assume it might be hard to get the OK to use their likenesses- although in the early 2000’s a game was developed retelling the events of From Russia With Love, and even featured Connery’s voice and likeness.
As with past Bond games, you’ll be shooting plenty of thugs, as well as driving classic Bond vehicles and likely romancing plenty of beautiful women. The Mi6 mode featured in GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is back, and you can play four-player splitscreen or online gameplay.
You’ll be able to get your hands on 007 Legends this fall on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
