Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer Is Here

Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer Is Here

Earlier today, a grainy, low-res trailer for Marvel’s highly-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron was leaked (the trailer was supposed to debut with next week’s episode of Agents of Shield). Marvel has quickly responded, posting the full trailer in HD on their official YouTube channel. Here’s what we’ve learned:

James Spader’s Ultron feels menacing, and could quite possibly make for one of Marvel’s best on-screen villains yet. The way he moves in the trailer’s opening moments and the sinister voice he uses while reciting lines from Pinocchio’s “I’ve Got No Strings” is genuinely unsettling.

The Avengers look like they’ve met their match, as Thor is seen dropping his hammer Mjolnir and screaming in anguish, Captain America’s unbreakable shield is broken, and Bruce Banner is seen stumbling through some snowy mountains in obvious distress. Throughout the trailer we see plenty of battling between the heroes as well, such as the much-hyped Hulk Vs Iron Man fight, with Tony Stark inside his Hulkbuster armor. Thor is also seen grabbing Stark by his throat (this whole Ultron thing is his fault, after all).

We also get a good look at the twins Quicksliver and Scarlet Witch, but there’s no explanation as to why they’re important to the story. Guess we’ll have to wait for the second trailer to  learn more.

Check out the trailer below and bask in its greatness. Avengers: Age of Ultron will debut in theaters May 1st, 2015. In the meantime, check out Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron book, which will serve as the basis for the story.
