First Look At Henry Cavill’s Man Of Steel From Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
The first picture of Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated superhero sequel ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ has made its way online.
The picture features a muted color palette and driving rain, not unlike promotional pictures for Snyder’s film 300. Whether Superman is in Gotham or Metropolis in this photo remains to be seen. Superman’s suit has been tweaked a bit since we last saw it in Man of Steel – the circle on his belt has become more rectangular, and the trim around the torso and gauntlets appears to be a bit more complex and ornate. Check out a comparison below.
Earlier this week a picture of Cavill on set as Clark Kent was posted by the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund on Twitter. Ben Affleck’s Batman costume was unveiled back in May.
Snyder spoke to USA Today, where the photo was originally posted, about what it’s like to be see Batman and Superman together on set. “It’s never really been done and it’s kinda cool.” When asked about Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Snyder stated that he hasn’t filmed any sequences with the Amazonian princess yet, but that “she’s working out and getting buff and ripped.”
Synder has seen how quickly the hype has built up for Dawn of Justice, but isn’t totally surprised: “You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it’s Batman and Superman, let’s just be honest,” Snyder says. “I don’t know how you get bigger than that.”
