Last year we ran a series of graphics comparison articles displaying the visual differences between WWE 12 and WWE 13. Now WWE 2K14 is right around the corner, and the first few entrance videos are slowly being unveiled. Cover star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was the first to be revealed, and so we’ve snapped some screens to see what adjustments have been made between WWE 13 and WWE 2K14.
You’ll notice right off the bat that The Rock no longer has his goatee in WWE 2K14, which makes sense as he hasn’t been sporting it lately. He’s also noticeably more ripped than last year – you can see his veins bulging out of his biceps and forearms, his abs are much more defined, and his chest striations are much more noticeable. His shoulders, lats and trap muscles are a bit bigger than they were in WWE 13. It’s hard to tell how much the facial model has been updated, if at all, because the goatee throws everything off a little bit. The Rock’s entrance animation is unchanged from last year, but it was pretty spot-on then, so it’s not a big deal. Finally, you’ll notice that The Rock is carrying the new WWE Championship belt in the WWE 2K14 shots.
