IDW Announces Limited Edition FELDSTEIN: The MAD Life and Fantastic Art of Al Feldstein

IDW is publishing a comprehensive biography/ coffee table art book hybrid about the life of Al Feldstein, signed by the artist himself.

 

IDW Publishing has announced the release of the autographed limited edition hardcover book FELDSTEIN: The MAD Life and Fantastic Art of Al Feldstein. Signed by artist Al Feldstein and author Grant Geissman, the book takes a look back at the storied career of the legendary artist, writer, and editor, famous for his three decades of work on MAD Magazine. Feldstein was inducted to the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2003, and was awarded the Bram Stoker Lifetime Achievement award in 2011. The book is limited to 500 signed and numbered copies, and features an exclusive cover and custom slipcase created especially for this edition.

“Feldstein provided me with unprecedented access to his personal archives for this project,” says Grant Geissman. “His is quite a remarkable tale, and I am honored to have been able to present it.”

 

FELDSTEIN: The MAD Life and Fantastic Art of Al Feldstein features rare and unpublished photographs, all of Feldstein’s published EC comic cover artwork, and more. Functioning as both a coffee table art book and complete biography, the book captures aspects of the artist’s time working for MAD and EC Comics as well as his post-retirement artwork and commissioned paintings.
