Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge Coming To PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Previously Wii U-exclusive version of Ninja Gaiden 3 makes its way to other consoles.
Tecmo Koei has announced that the previously Wii-U exclusive title, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, will finally be making its way to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge packs a host of new features, including a new battle system (with enhanced A.I.), an all-new gameplay mode, new playable characters and an expanded online component. The game is scheduled for launch both at retail and via digital download on April 2nd, 2013.
“NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR’S EDGE is the most action-packed and feature rich NINJA GAIDEN game ever created,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Team NINJA leader. “The brutal combat will challenge the hardest of hardcore NINJA GAIDEN fans while also rewarding them with tons of bonus content and new features including three playable female characters, new stages, and three times as many Ninja Trial missions.”
Though Ninja Gaiden 3 garnered a lukewarm reception upon its initial release, Team Ninja worked hard to ensure that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge would please the series’ hardcore fans. The combat system has been improved, quick-time events have been drastically reduced, and dismemberment has been brought back, along with a ramped-up difficulty level. Even after slicing off multiple limbs, enemies will still come at you, and so you’ll need to adapt your strategy on-the-fly. A new Ninja Skills system allows players the chance to upgrade weapons, ninpo and purchase new weapons and costumes. Dead or Alive’s Kasumi will be playable for the first time in franchise history, and will be accompanied by female warriors Momiji and Ayane. Ayane has three story chapters, and the other girls will be playable in a new co-op mode and the new Chapter Challenge. All previous DLC for Ninja Gaiden 3 is included.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be available on April 2nd, 2013 .
