The Elder Scrolls Online Revealed, ScreensMay 3, 2012
Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online, an open-world MMORPG, is in development at ZeniMax Online Studios. The Elder Scrolls Online will be the first ever entry in the series to allow players to slay dragons, rob peasants and cast fireballs at the elderly together.
Details about the game will be available in this month’s Game Informer.
“We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted,” said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. “It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”
The Elder Scrolls Online is sure to be a popular MMO if it can get things right. The latest entry in the series, Skyrim, won countless awards last year, was the second highest grossing title of the year, and was the fastest-selling game in Steam’s existence.
The Elder Scrolls Online has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
