Alan Wake’s American Nightmare Now Available On Xbox LIVE Arcade
Remedy Entertainment and Microsoft Studio have announced the release of the stand-alone DLC adventure Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. Available for 1200 MS Points, and featured in the Xbox LIVE House Party program, it’s an “exaggerated pulp adventure” where everything Alan imagines comes true as he tries to take down his evil doppelganger Mr. Scratch. Alan will need to use the power of light to fight the darkness and save his wife Alice from Mr. Scratch’s dastardly plans.
The “Fight Till Dawn” mode seems to be a Hoard mode of sorts, where Alan will battle waves of enemies and rack up a high score. You’ll employ all manner of weapons in your plight, from flare guns and nail guns to Uzis. As the name suggests, you’ll need to survive until the dawn light hits to save you from the darkness.
“With Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, we wanted to challenge the conventions of what makes an Xbox LIVE Arcade title” says Matias Myllyrinne, CEO of Remedy. “The game is a combination of pick-up-and-play arcade action that players expect out of an Xbox LIVE Arcade title, as well as a substantial pulp inspired single-player campaign that Remedy is known for.”
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is available now on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 for 1200 Microsoft Points. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
