Square Enix Bringing Scarygirl To PSN and XBLA Early 2012

Nathan Jurevicius’ Scarygirl character is getting her very own game in early 2012, courtesy of Square Enix and TikGames, LLC. The game is based on Jurevicius’ graphic novel of the same name. Scarygirl has a tentacle arm and loves to dress up like a pirate. She becomes haunted by a strange man in her dreams, and decides to go on an adventure to find out just what these dreams mean.

The game will feature co-op, and during the adventure Scarygirl will have the aid of some of her guardians from the graphic novel, like Bunniguru, the “mystical, kung-fu rabbit”. In co-op, another player can even take control of the aforementioned Bunniguru. How awesome is that?

Scarygirl features a very original art style, true to the storybook style of the graphic novel. The game also features a brand new story, which separates itself from the graphic novel and planned feature film.

Look for Scarygirl in early 2012 on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation®Network.
