Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Graphics Comparison - PSP and PS3

You can really see what a huge difference the higher resolution in Metal Gear Solid HD Collection makes, especially in the Peace Walker comparison shots. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was an outstanding game that released for the PSP last summer. It won ave reviews but did not sell as much as most had hoped. Hopefully it will get a second life on the PS3. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty is a great game plagued by a terrible story, but Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater makes up for it with a great story and even more fine-tuned gameplay.

I’m a little saddened by the fact that the amazing Metal Gear Solid for Playstation One is not included in the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, but having Peace Walker in its place is a good consolation prize. I guess it would be a little strange to see a PS1 game upscaled to HD resolutions; it would honestly probably just accentuate how dated its graphics are.

The game is being remastered by the same studio that did the awesome God Of War HD Collection for PS3 last year.

  1. These look pretty good, but I can't say that I would play through these again after beating them on ps2. They are really long games, but were great experiences especially MGS3. If you wanna play a remastered MGS1 you can check out The Twin Snakes for Gamecube. It's not HD technically but looked way better then the PS1 version and more content
