13 Minutes Of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay
Here is the latest gameplay trailer for Activision’s new game Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is due out on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 8th, 2011, right around the corner from EA’s hotly anticipated Battlefield 3.
The trailer shows off new locations to fight in, such as America, England, Germany and France.
The gameplay shown so far seems extremely reminiscent of Crytek’s latest opus, the critically lauded Crysis 2. It opens up in New York City, with explosions everywhere and buildings crumbling. The game seems as hectic as ever, perhaps too hectic. The gameplay, although visually it looks a lot like Crysis 2, seems very linear, especially compared to C2′s wide-open world gameplay.
Besides that the game looks very much like Modern Warfare. The graphics look slightly better, but it is no Battlefield 3. The shooting, weapons, and general atmosphere appear largely unchanged, which may or may not be a plus to you, depending on your viewpoint of the critically-loved series thus far. If Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 wants to be the better game this fall, it has a lot of catching up to do to compete with Battlefield 3. Of course, the game will likely sell more than any product ever, because it is Call Of Duty, but I would think that Activision would like Call Of Duty to be the one winning awards later down the line.
