Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen On ‘Two And A Half Men’May 13, 2011
Ashton Kutcher is officially replacing Charlie Sheen on Two And A Half Men.
Apparently Kutcher has signed a (supposedly very lucrative) deal to star as a new character on the show for one season, totaling 24 episodes. Many people assumed the show was dead after Sheen was fired earlier this year, following a drug/ tiger blood fueled, psychotic onslaught in the press, where he publicly humiliated his boss among many others.
There were plans to hire Hugh Grant, but it came to light that he is currently homeless with no career.
“I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team, and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes,” Kutcher said in a statement. “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen, but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”
“We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton,” the show’s producer, Chuck Lorre said in a statement. “Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal.”
